Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) has been extensively studied in a variety of clinical trials including >4000 patients in stable sinus rhythm (SR).1 The recently issued European Society of Cardiology guidelines for cardiac pacing and CRT strongly recommend the latter for patients in SR who present with moderate to severe heart failure (HF), left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction, and a wide QRS complex, with a view to lower mortality and morbidity.
